Leto’s Legacy (“Leto’s Legacy”) is a North Carolina corporation that provides artificial intelligence, robotics, software, and educational technology programs and services for K–12 students, including minors. This Privacy Policy explains how Leto’s Legacy collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with its programs, websites, platforms, applications, enrollment systems, and related activities (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy is governed exclusively by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy or the handling of personal information shall be brought only in the state courts of North Carolina or the United States federal courts located within North Carolina.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Minor students participating in Leto’s Legacy programs;
- Parents and legal guardians of minor participants;
- Adult users of the Services;
- Staff, instructors, contractors, and volunteers; and
- Visitors to Leto’s Legacy websites and platforms.
By accessing or using the Services, enrolling in a program, or permitting a child to participate, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

Leto’s Legacy collects personal information that is reasonably necessary to operate its programs, deliver educational services, ensure safety, and meet legal and contractual obligations.

- Student age, date of birth, and grade level

2. INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM CHILDREN
Leto’s Legacy operates Services that are directed to children, including children under the age of 13.
Personal information collected from children is limited to what is reasonably necessary for participation and may include:

- Student-created educational content
- Limited technical information required for platform operation
Leto’s Legacy does not condition a child’s participation on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.

3. PARENTAL CONSENT
For Services offered directly to families, Leto’s Legacy obtains verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from a child under 13. Consent mechanisms may include authenticated enrollment by a parent, electronic acknowledgment, or other legally permissible methods.
For school-sponsored or school-directed programs, Leto’s Legacy may rely on the school or district to obtain required parental consent, where permitted by law and documented by written agreement.

4. FERPA AND SCHOOL-DIRECTED SERVICES
When Leto’s Legacy provides Services pursuant to a written agreement with a school or school district subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Leto’s Legacy acts as a service provider under the direct control of the school.
In such cases, Leto’s Legacy:
- Uses education records solely to provide contracted services
- Does not re-disclose education records except as authorized by the school or required by law
- Implements reasonable safeguards to protect education records
- Deletes or de-identifies education records in accordance with contractual instructions
Parents seeking access to FERPA-governed records should contact the relevant school.

5. USE OF INFORMATION
Leto’s Legacy uses personal information to:

6. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATED TOOLS
Leto’s Legacy uses limited AI-enabled tools to support instruction, feedback, and operational efficiency.
AI tools:
- Are used under human supervision
- Process student inputs only to deliver educational functionality
- Are not used to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects
Student personal information is not used to train general-purpose AI models unrelated to Leto’s Legacy’s Services.
